Wedding information
Arrangements: All weddings are scheduled by the church secretary. For availability, please call the church office at 901-683-3505.
Fees: Chapel Weddings start at $650. This does not include the cost of florists, photographers, or honorariums for musicians or ministers. Reservations are not considered confirmed until receipt and clearance of payment. All reservations are made on a “first-come, first-served” basis. A $200 deposit is required. In the event it is necessary to cancel your wedding, all fees will be returned minus a $200 administrative fee.
Reservations: The Chapel reservation is for two hours. Weddings are often scheduled two-hours apart, so dressing rooms should be cleared immediately following the ceremony. Kingsway cannot be responsible for lost items or valuables.
Seating: The seating capacity for the chapel is approximately 100 people. No more than 108 people will be permitted in the chapel due to TN fire code. There are 14 pews in the chapel. The chapel center aisle is 29 feet long and 4 feet 6 inches wide. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Rehearsals: A rehearsal is recommended for all weddings. The bride and groom, all attendants, ushers, and parents should plan to attend the rehearsal. The minister is expected to attend the rehearsal. A Rehearsal Worksheet is available from the church office to help you organize your wedding party and to let us know of your desires and special needs. Please complete the worksheet and give it to your wedding consultant at least (5) days prior to your rehearsal. PLEASE NOTE: All rehearsals must be scheduled through the church office. Please consult the church office before scheduling your rehearsal.
Ministers: You are welcome to use the minister of your choice. A letter from the minister should accompany this form.
Music: Kingsway has a very talented music staff available for a $150 fee. The Kingsway Organist will gladly advise and work with the couple in selecting and choosing music selections. If an organist is not desired, the wedding party may choose to use outside musicians such as string instruments or brass, etc. Because of the small, intimate size of the chapel there is no need for a sound system. A small CD player with music approved by the officiating minister may be used as well.
Flowers: Due to natural and existing beauty of the chapel, elaborate and expensive decorations are really not necessary. No nails, thumbtacks, staples, pins or screws are to be driven into any part of the pews or building. No tape or glue is to be used to fasten decorations to the furniture or building. Only wrapped wire, padded clamps or ribbon may be used to attach bows, ferns or flowers to the pews. Only silk rose petals may be used by the flower girl. Please note: the throwing of rice, confetti, birdseed or real rose petals inside or outside the buildings is not permitted. We also limit the use of bubbles to the outside of the buildings. The use of runners or aisle cloths is prohibited. If the use of a Unity Candle is desired, you must rent the stand from Kingsway. Candles are included in the $75 fee.
Photographers: Movements and other distractions must be kept to a minimum and must not distract from the sanctity of the ceremony. Use of flashes during the ceremony is left up to the officiating minister’s discretion.
Receptions: Parish Hall is available for receptions at $500. Parish Hall seats approximately 108 guests at 13 round tables. Estep Gym is available which has more room for $700. Tables and chairs are included in the rental fee. Coverings or decorations are not included. No smoking or use of alcoholic beverages is allowed.
PROGRAMS: Full color programs are available from the church office at $35 for 100 programs. Additional programs are 35 cents each.
